Word Using Mail Merge – Developer’s Description
I have Word and Excel For several years, using Windows 7, I have imported an excel list into word, and been able to do my mail merge very cleanly. I loved it. I am using Avery labels 30 labels per sheet, around addresses.
I have now installed Windows 10, and the exact same function has serious problem. When I select “update labels”, it only copies the first 3 addresses across the top row, but does not populate the rest of the sheet, until the very bottom, when it fills in two more. I preview, and even do a finish merge, and I really only get those five entries per page rather than I took this same file, and went over to my work computer which is still Windows 7, and the merge worked fine, just like previous years, so I suspect it has something to do with Windows Is there something odd in how Word and SQL and Windows 10 interact, that it is having this database formatting problem?

In Windows Vista and Windows 7, 8 or 8. When you then restart Word and use the Update Labels facility, it should then work as required. Was this reply helpful?
